The Bigfoot Monster Truck: The World's Best!

In the 1970s, Bob Chandler started designing the first ever Bigfoot monster truck. Being a former construction worker in St. Louis, Missouri, he used the family's 1974 Ford F-250 four-wheel-drive pickup.

At first Chandler encountered many difficulties in getting mechanical parts for his overworked Ford truck. This propelled Chandler to develop a partnership with himself, his wife, Marilyn and good friend, Jim Kramer. They established a shop called Midwest Four Wheel Drive and Performance Center in Hazelwood, Missouri, which is still the headquarters for Bigfoot today.

Bob Chandler used his newly designed trucks to transport billboards for his shop; the trucks were duly decorated with other materials and accessories that Chandler sold in his new shop. As time elapsed, Chandler's trucks grew taller and became more rugged, stronger, and more powerful, until it became a monster of a truck. Chandler's terrifying truck began to showcase itself in 1979, at a Denver car show.

There were amazing fan interests and enthusiasm in the Chandler designed monster trucks, as Chandler drove his truck over a few junk cars at a stunt show in 1981. In 1983, the Bigfoot monster truck engaged in a sponsorship association with Ford Motor Company. The monster truck fleet has increased drastically to sixteen monster machines, which have grown stronger, superior and more powerful than all its competitors.

The monster trucks have uniquely computer-aided designs which has led to technological advances in truck making, Chandler has jumped to the forefront of monster truck racing and car crushing. Chandler has created some trucks that have a specially designed extraordinary new tubular chassis and patented cantilever-based suspensions. These suspensions are a masterpiece in creativity and shows advance expertise in the development of racing trucks. This has caused the Chandler trucks to become World Champions, dominating and excelling in several types of competitions.

This giant truck possesses a giant track record of triumph. For example, the truck design called Bigfoot number eight was crowned World Champion in 1990.While, in 1992, Chandler became the first ever in the field of truck building and design to use a team approach in racing and achieved a one-two finish by the Bigfoot number ten and Snake Bite (Bigfoot number nine).

Between the years of 1993 and 2006, Bigfoot won a whopping sixteen titles and counting, as in the year 2007 they grabbed three more titles. The report to date of excellent achievements by Bigfoot stands at a remarkable twenty-five championships.

Chandler continues to develop his giant trucks through computer technology, as he has made connections with computer advanced companies like Microsoft, Firestone, and DuPont. These trucks continues to be in the spotlight since its inception, they have exploded into popularity, as the "World Largest Trucks"

The Bigfoot monster truck continues to be in high demand, as Chandler improved his monster truck with ten-foot-tall tires, he bought from a garage in Seattle. This truck is widely publicized as it has been given official and authentic recognition in the Guinness Book of Records in 2002. This world record holding truck was equipped with ten-foot-tall tires, making the monster truck towering about fifteen feet six inches tall and weighing thirty-eight thousand pounds.
